@ Sreevats,

Its terrifying to even think how close terrorism is to us. Its not something we read in news papers and enjoy on prime time TV any more. Glad to hear, its not so serious - Does put a smile on my face ;-)

And the blasts in B'lore were low intensity ones...(definitely not *The Joker* types..[;)]), nevertheless, it did unleashed panic for a few hours India's silicon valley!!! And I somehow managed to get past through one of the blast sites (Madivala) this evening and catch a bus and I have reached madurai safely today morning....

@ Sid,

Well, my IMDB vote history is public:
http://www.imdb.com/mymovies/list?l=20895552

I gave The Dark Knight - 9.0/10. Most of the 9 or 10 rated movies there in the list were not seen in a theater. Among those that were, I would perhaps rate "Black" higher. But this is a different class of movie altogether.

The casting was brilliant (thank god no Katie Holmes) and the dialogues were awesome - perhaps not as good as "V for Vendetta".

And Heath Ledger was truly magnificent. No hyperbole. We have this obsession borrowed from the Egyptian Civilization where we trample upon the living and shower our empathy on the dead. Its easy to classify the reaction to Ledger's performance in this category. But hell, for once I do side with the critics mate. This was just a stunning performance. The best screen villain after Jack Nicholson in "The Shining", screw Anthony Hopkins ;-)

And above all, I am supposed to be a fan of Chris Nolan, Christian Bale and Gary Oldman. WTF ? How can I *not* call it the best movie I have seen in a theater ?

Sorry to hear about the Bangalore blasts.

But The Dark Knight - For once, you sided with the mainstream critics ? Best movie seen in a theater ? Isn't that getting a bit too far ?
